Internet Gaming Disorder (IGD) is a condition where a person develops an addiction to online gaming. This means that a person with IGD will spend most of his/her time playing games on the computer or other devices connected to the internet instead of going out with friends or doing more productive things like studying or working.

Online gaming is fun, but it's important to recognize when it becomes something more.
Online game addiction is a real behavioural problem that many people are experiencing. It often manifests itself in difficulty focusing or completing tasks, a loss of interest in other normal activities, and irritability or frustration when you're unable to play.
Curb the urge to play games around the clock by:
❖ Setting clear boundaries between your real life and your gaming life. Designate times when you play, and stick to those times.
❖ Taking breaks throughout the day. Getting up and moving around can help improve focus and energy levels.
❖ Trying out a new hobby. Whether it's cooking, reading, or working on cars, find something that will keep you interested without being online all the time.
