As previously mentioned, Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT tapping) is a healing modality that combines cognitive and exposure therapy with acupressure point stimulation by gentle tapping.
The gentle tapping uses finger(s) to generate stimuli on acupressure points which are located on the meridian. The link below is a presentation showing images of scientific research that confirms the meridian exists, despite being doubted by many. No, it’s not visible to the naked eye, but it’s definitely there, inside all of us.
A number of scientific papers, published in peer-reviewed journals that describe what happens in the body’s nervous system, hormonal system, and genes in order to produce rapid and dramatic change (reviewed by Feinstein, 2012) show, among other findings, that pressure by gentle tapping on acupressure points is as effective as the insertion of acupuncture needles, that acupuncture sends fear-dampening signals directly to the limbic system, and that acupoint stimulation is an effective treatment for PTSD, pain, depression, anxiety, and other ailments.
Thanks to a recent study, we now know that acupoint stimulation is also effective at addressing food cravings for the purpose of weight loss.
It’s surprising that people still resist using EFT tapping on a daily basis for their well-being.
